Man injured after crashing motorcycle on State Road 15

An investigation is ongoing after a man driving a motorcycle was severely injured in a crash Saturday evening in Elkhart County.

It happened around 6:30 p.m. near State Road 15 and County Road 112.

Police say a 37-year-old Bristol man was riding his Harley Davidson north on State Road 15 when he crashed into a ditch and struck a stop sign.

Police say he was not wearing a helmet at the time and he was airlifted to Memorial Hospital in South Bend with life-threatening head injuries.
