A judge in Michigan has called off a hearing that puts an election tampering case on hold.

The Hillsdale County District Court Judge told a packed courtroom that she would grant a motion appealing her recent rejection of a motion to dismiss.

Bridge Michigan reports that Attorney Stefanie Lambert and former Adams Township Clerk Stephanie Scott are charged with multiple felonies after Attorney General Dana Nessel alleged that Scott refused mandatory maintenance of a voting machine tabulator after the 2020 presidential election.

The Attorney General’s office calls the delay “unprecedented and unnecessary.”
