Indiana Fever head into month-long break with a loss to Dallas

The Indiana Fever could not quite finish their late rally as they were topped 101-93 by the Dallas Wings. After trailing 54-46 at halftime, the Fever scored 24 points to the Wings 18 points at the end of the third quarter to make a comeback and take small leads late in the fourth. The Wings would seal the game with multiple pairs of free throws. Aliyah Boston was the leading scorer for the Fever with 28 points as Caitlin Clark set a WNBA single-game record with 19 assists, along with scoring 24 points earning her another double-double. NaLyssa Smith also scored a double-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds, while Kelsey Mitchell tied Smith with 13 points. The Fever will take the nearly month long break as they return to action Friday, August 16th to face the Phoenix Mercury.
