South Bend woman to prison, ordered to pay over half a million dollars for embezzlement

A South Bend Woman has been sentenced to prison, ordered to pay more than half-a-million dollars for embezzlement scheme.
According to court documents, 59-year-old Robin Hood embezzled at least $549-thousand dollars from her employer between 2016 and 2021.
Federal prosecutors say she issued checks to herself and transferred money to herself from her employer’s accounts. She pleaded guilty to wire fraud was sentenced to 12 months in prison, 1 years of supervised release, and was ordered to pay back all the money she stole.
