Gen Z says social media is responsible for some of the mental health issues they experience.
That’s according to a Talker Research survey of 2,000 Gen Z social media users.
They say TikTok and Instagram are the main culprits, followed by Facebook.
Those who were surveyed spend between five and six hours a day on social media. Just under half said social media prompts negative emotions.

More likely it is most of it. People spend their time on their screens rather than interacting with real people face to face. This is disastrous for the younger generation. I am involved with a youth sports team. The best athletes stay away from their phones, if they have a phone. Also the best ones are home schooled.

I’m old enough to remember “sticks and stones”. Social media is also just words. Gen Z needs to grow some skin, though they are far tougher than the Millennials and their cry closets.
