Indiana Fever clinches playoff spot for first time since 2016

The Indiana Fever have clinched a playoff spot for the first time since 2016.

The Fever benefited from both the Chicago Sky and Atlanta Dream losing on Tuesday night.

The Sky lost to Las Vegas and the Dream lost to Phoenix.

By some simple mathematics, both of those losses have clinched the Fever a spot in the playoffs.

It remains unclear what seed they will be in the postseason with seven games remaining in the regular season.

Indiana takes on the Los Angeles Sparks tonight at home.
