A 24-year-old Mishawaka man was killed in a collision on Ash Road in Granger.

The crash happened around 3:45 a.m. on Thursday, Sep. 12.

St Joseph County Police were dispatched to the single vehicle wreck on Ash Road north of Anderson Road in northeast Harris Township.

Upon arrival officers discovered the vehicle left the roadway and crashed into wooded area causing death of driver, who has been identified as Charles N. Pereira.

No other passengers or vehicles were involved. St. Joseph County Police say speed is a preliminary factor. The  crash remains under investigation.
