House considers bills related to illegal immigration

The U.S. House is considering a pair of bills that Republican say would clamp down of portions of the problems the country is facing regarding illegal immigration.
One bill would broaden the parameters for the federal government to withhold federal funding to cities claiming to be “sanctuary cities.”
The other would make it easier to deport people unlawfully in the country who are guilty of committing sex crimes.
Indiana Congresswoman Erin Houchin admonished Democrats voicing opposition to the bills, saying that they are responsible for a “self-made crisis” at the southern border.
