Gun threat at Mishawaka McDonald’s sparks police investigation

(Jon Zimney/95.3 MNC)

Police responded to reports of gunfire at a local McDonald’s on Bremen Highway around 11 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 14, only to find the situation was a dispute, not a shooting.

Officers arrived after receiving a call about shots fired. Upon investigation, they discovered that no shots had been fired. Instead, the incident involved an argument between a vehicle’s occupants and McDonald’s employees over a food order.

During the altercation, a male passenger reportedly brandished a firearm and pointed it at two employees before fleeing the scene with others in the vehicle.

Authorities are currently investigating the case.

Anybody with information is urged to contact the Mishawaka Police Department Detective Bureau at 574-258-1684 or Michiana Crime Stoppers at 574-288-STOP.
