Lightsource BP’s planned for an “unveiling” of their $250 million dollar solar farm on Thursday, but it was canceled abruptly due to a security concern.

WSBT reports the threat involved a former employee.

The solar farm spans more than 1,100 acres near New Carlisle, is set to produce 188 megawatts of energy as it begins commercial operation.

The farm, located on a local family’s land, also has sheep grazing among the solar panels.

The farm will generate enough power for over 35,000 homes, with each megawatt providing energy for around 190 homes.

Does anyone else find it amusing that the big tech people restarting Nuclear power plants or creating new nuclear plants to run their AI server farms? I thought they were all for green energy.

It’s unreliable green energy for you and me but very reliable nuclear energy for them.
