The 16th ranked Indiana Hoosier football team throttled the Nebraska Cornhuskers on Saturday 56-7 to improve to 7-0 on the year.
53,082 people attended the game at Memorial Stadium. That is the fourth highest attendance in program history.
The Hoosiers had 495 total yards to the Cornhuskers 304. Indiana also forced four turnovers.
Justice Ellison scored a five-yard touchdown on the opening drive of the game. After Indiana got a stop, Myles Price caught a seven-yard touchdown pass from Kurtis Rourke to put Indiana ahead 14-0.
Nebraska scored a touchdown on a seven yard scamper by Jacorey Barney with 7:40 left in the second quarter, but that is all they would get. Indiana never trailed in this game. They haven’t trailed in a game this season.
Rourke completed 17 of his 21 passes for 189 yards with a touchdown and an interception. He left the game at halftime and did not return for what IU Head Coach Curt Cignetti said was precautionary reasons.
Tayven Jackson started the second half at quarterback for Indiana. He completed 7 of 8 passes for 91 yards and two touchdowns.
Ellison finished with 105 yards on nine carries with two touchdowns. Ty Son Lawton also had a rushing touchdown and so did Kaelon Black.
The Hoosiers intercepted Nebraska quarterback Dylan Raiola three times. Shawn Asbury, Jamier Johnson, and Rolijah Hardy all had picks for the Hoosiers.
