Elkhart man sentenced after pleading guilty to burglary

An Elkhart man has been sentenced after pleading guilty to stealing from his then-girlfriend.

Kane Truman was convicted of burglary for breaking into his girlfriend’s camper on Tower Road on July 26 of last year.
Police were called after she discovered her Chromebook missing along with other items, as well as a screwdriver and a crystal rock left behind that she identified as Trumans.
Later, The Goshen News says Truman returned the stolen items but confessed to police, claiming he believed she had taken things from his apartment.
He pleaded guilty to Burglary and was sentenced to three years suspended with two on reporting probation and one on good behavior.
