It was an accident. That’s what police are saying, now, about the 15-year-old boy who was shot in an alley in the 1000 block of Jackson Street in Mishawaka.

The shooting happened around 10:15 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 30.

The boy was with two other juveniles at the time. Investigators haven’t released details about how the shooting happened.

The boy was taken to the hospital with a wound to his abdomen.
