Crash on State Rd 15 injures one, involves pickup and semi

A two-vehicle crash on State Road 15 near County Road 112 sent one driver to the hospital on Friday afternoon, Nov. 1, according to authorities.
The collision occurred around 1:20 p.m. when a northbound white Chevrolet Silverado crossed the center line while rounding a curve. The Silverado struck the rear axle of a green Freightliner semi traveling southbound.
The driver of the pickup, a 60-year-old Goshen resident, was transported to Elkhart General Hospital with injuries to his head, neck, and left leg. The driver of the semi, a 58-year-old Goshen resident, was uninjured in the incident.
The Silverado sustained heavy front-end damage, while the semi-trailer suffered damage to its rear axle. Officer Chance Wilson, who responded to the scene, reported clear weather and dry road conditions at the time of the crash.
The driver of the pickup was cited for driving left of center. The investigation remains ongoing.
