Elkhart woman, 21, hospitalized after being struck by vehicle on County Road 19

A pedestrian was hospitalized after being struck by a vehicle on County Road 19 near State Road 120.

The collision happened just after 7 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 4.

According to the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office, a 21-year-old Elkhart woman driving a Jeep Grand Cherokee was traveling northbound on County Road 19 and collided with a pedestrian walking along the east side of the roadway.

The pedestrian, a 19-year-old woman from Goshen, sustained upper-body injuries and was transported to Elkhart General Hospital. Her injuries are considered non-life-threatening.

The impact occurred on the vehicle’s passenger side. The driver was not injured.
