Three people accused in the 2022 General Election fraud case appeared in court earlier this week.
Current school board member Mario Garber was sentenced in accordance with his plea agreement, though his charge was amended down to a misdemeanor, according to the Goshen News.
He was sentenced to a year suspended and on probation. Andrea Johnson’s trial date was rescheduled from December to May 12.
However, they say the most highly-anticipated individual in the case, former Goshen mayor and school board member Allan Kauffman, was not sentenced on Wednesday.
The Goshen News says Kauffman’s attorneys asked the judge to reduce the sentence to misdemeanor treatment like she had done for the others, but the state reportedly refused and withdrew the plea agreement.
