Coyote sightings spark concerns in Mishawaka

Coyote sightings in Mishawaka are sparking concerns as residents report the animals coming close to their homes.
A meeting, earlier this week, brought together city officials, code enforcement, and a city attorney to address the issue. Residents packed the house, describing sightings from neighborhoods such as Twin Branch and Reverewood.
City Council Member Matt Mammolenti led the meeting, and says only about 10% of residents have officially reported sightings. However, frustration grew over limited guidance from local officials and the absence of the Department of Natural Resources, who were invited but did not attend.
WSBT reports City leaders urge residents to secure yards, keep pets indoors, avoid leaving food outside, and to report any sightings.
They city still hopes to collaborate with the DNR.

DNR failing to come to support the community is ridiculous!! Shame on them. They sure come running if people break laws of nature.
