Gary man arrested after high speed pursuit

A 24-year-old from Gary was arrested during a traffic stop on Monday.

A trooper noticed a Ford Bronco traveling eastbound on I-80 at extremely high speeds around 10:45 p.m.

When the trooper attempted to make a traffic stop, the driver turned off the headlights of the vehicle and continued to speed away at over 100 miles per hour.

The Bronco eventually crashed after exiting the interstate and turning down an alley.

When the driver attempted to flee by foot, a handgun fell out of his pants. 24-year-old Lyndell Graham was eventually arrested.

He has been preliminarily charged with Reckless Driving, Resisting Law Enforcement, Resisting Law Enforcement While Using a Vehicle and being a Serious Violent Felon in Possession of a Firearm.
