A three-vehicle collision occurred on Old US 33, about 1.5 miles west of the Elkhart city limits, leaving multiple people injured.
The crash happened at approximately 7:30 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 6, amid icy road conditions.
According to authorities, a Hyundai Accent, driven by a 23-year-old Niles woman was heading westbound when it lost control and swerved into the eastbound lane. The Hyundai collided head-on with a Jeep Wrangler driven by a 49-year-old Elkhart woman.
A Dodge Ram 1500, traveling east behind the Jeep, then struck the Hyundai.
Three people were hurt and authorities are reminding all drivers to use caution and adapt to winter road conditions.
