A collision between a Honda sedan and a Mercedes SUV disrupted traffic.
It happened around 9:30 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 6, on County Road 10 near Starner Avenue and resulted in minor injuries to one passenger and damage to both vehicles.
According to authorities, a 30-year-old Elkhart man was driving the Honda with three passengers when he lost control of his vehicle. His car veered into the oncoming lane, striking the front of a 44-year-old Edwardsburg womans’ Merceds SUV. The impact forced the SUV off the road and into a small tree.
The two drivers both reported wearing seatbelts and were uninjured. However, one of man’s passengers complained of shoulder pain and was evaluated on-site.
Both vehicles sustained significant damage, with the Honda’s front driver side and the Mercedes’s front and sides impacted.
