2024 is officially the warmest year ever in Michiana.
The average temperature for the year was 53.7 degrees.
That beat the record for the region set in 1921.
Temperature swings over the past several weeks played a part in boosting that average.

Big deal, the earth has been doing this for millions of years, volcanoes have been spewing more than they have in recorded history

Agreed. Warmest since 1921 is not “ever”.

I sincerely hope the trend continues, if it is a trend. The average temp is 55 degrees F around here. So that means this winter might be colder to average out. Be careful what you might wish for.
