Burglary suspect pleads guilty

A man accused of burglarizing a bank in Elkhart pleaded guilty to the charge .

Police responded to First Source Bank in May for a suspicious person and arrived to find a window of the bank smashed out.

Douglas L.G. Morgan was arrested, and police found a can of partially eaten peaches in the breakroom and a toothbrush nearby.

A cleaner who had called told police she was getting ready to lock up after finishing her duties for the night and had just set the alarm, when the man had told her to call an ambulance.

The woman said she felt uneasy so she drove to a nearby gas station to make the call. The Goshen News says when drove back, the window had been smashed.

Morgan’s sentencing is set for January 16.
