The State’s Public Defender is pursuing permission to appoint two lawyers as appellate counsel for Richard Allen, who was recently convicted of the Delphi murders of Abby Williams and Libby German.
A trial judge already approved a request to have the State Public Defender choose lawyers for Allen’s appeal as he serves a 130-year sentence.
This week, the State Public Defender motioned to appoint more than one lawyer to the appeal.
