A man is facing several years behind bars for drug charges.

Deangelo Lucas was stopped for improper display of a temporary registration plate and disregarding a stop sign in April. Lucas and his passengers were escorted from the vehicle after a K9 conducted a free-air sniff, though Lucas appeared nervous and attempted to flee back to the vehicle.

Officers placed him into handcuffs, though The Goshen News says he continued to resist arrest.

A total of 65 fentanyl pills were found in a jacket Lucas had been wearing. He was sentenced by plea agreement for possession of a narcotic and resisting law enforcement.

He’ll face a total of 10 years at the Indiana Department of Corrections with five years on probation.

He should be spending 10 years in a prison of his home country.
