Another round of snow makes its way into Michiana for Friday and, with that, a Winter Weather Advisory is in effect.
WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 10 AM EST /9 AM CST/ THIS MORNING TO 1 AM EST /MIDNIGHT CST/ SATURDAY... * WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 2 and 4 inches. * WHERE...Portions of northern Indiana, southwest Michigan, and northwest Ohio. * WHEN...From 10 AM EST /9 AM CST/ this morning to 1 AM EST /midnight CST/ Saturday. * IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the Friday evening commute. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Slow down and use caution while traveling. The latest road conditions for the state you are calling from can be obtained by calling 5 1 1.
Snow is expected to start Friday morning, although it will be light at the start due to dry air. As more moisture works in across the Great Lakes, snow will overspread much of the area by midday and stick around through the afternoon and early evening. The afternoon and evening will feature the bulk of the accumulating snow.
Accumulations are not expected to be significant, but a widespread range of 1-3” is expected. Due to the delayed start of widespread snow in the morning, our western areas may see less snow than central and eastern Michiana.
