Animals rescued from abandoned vehicle in Market Centre Plaza in Goshen

Two animals were rescued after being found in an abandoned vehicle at Market Centre Plaza on Elkhart Road.

Goshen Police were called to the scene just after 6 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 11, after receiving a report of the vehicle. Upon investigation, officers discovered the animals left unattended inside. They were safely removed and transferred to the care of the Elkhart County Humane Society.

The incident, classified as animal neglect animals, remains under investigation.

Authorities have not disclosed further details about the animals’ condition or the vehicle’s owner.
