Elkhart man pleads guilty to attempting to kill his father

An Elkhart man accused of trying to kill his father has pleaded guilty to attempted murder.

Dominique Edwards is accused of shooting and injuring his father, Anthony Shaw, at Shaw’s home in November of 2020. Documents say Edwards was visiting the home when he grabbed a pillow and fired a gun through the pillow at Shaw.

According to the Goshen News, Edwards told his father that he had to kill him.

Edwards was arrested and has pleaded guilty to attempted murder. His sentencing is scheduled for February 6.
