Indiana House committee votes to add extra $25 million to revolving loan fund

An Indiana House committee has voted to add an extra $25 million to a revolving loan fund.
The fund is designed to incentivize housing construction in the state. The Indiana Association of Realtors testified in favor of the bill to add the money, noting Indiana’s median home price has grown to $244,000 and new construction of a home costs nearly $379,000
The bill passed with an 11-to-1 vote and now goes to the Ways and Means Committee.
