Jared Prentice to serve as Indiana’s next Inspector General

Indiana Governor Mike Braun has appointed Jared Prentice to serve as Indiana’s next Inspector General.
The Inspector General’s job is to reduce fraud, waste, abuse, mismanagement and wrongdoing in state executive branch agencies. They’re also supposed to foster a culture of integrity that contributes to public confidence in state government, according to a release issued by Braun’s office.
Prentice has experience as an attorney in both the private and public sector. His past experience includes working for the Indiana Department of Revenue where he established the agency’s compliance department. Prentice also has experience working for Elevance Health, and Deloitte Services, which is where he spent the last year.
In addition to his work experience, Jared is the Executive Vice President of Business Ethics Indiana, a professional organization with a mission to promote ethical business practices and provide professional development that strenthens Indiana as a business ethics center of excellence.
“Jared Prentice will be an excellent Inspector General for the State of Indiana,” said Braun. “His experience and passion for an ethical and compliance driven culture will align perfectly with our efforts to improve government efficiency for taxpayers. I am proud to appoint such an accomplished individual. Jared is going to do great things for the State of Indiana.”
