Lake Michigan College is offering free ultrasounds to expectant parents in the community.

LMC’s Sonography department is offering the free 3D and 4D ultrasounds, which feature the latest technology. WSJM reports that Medical Sonography students, under supervision, will capture multiple pictures of the babies for educational purposes only — not to diagnose or treat any medical conditions.

To participate, the parents-to-be must be at least 21 to 36 weeks pregnant at the time of the appointment, and have already had their first fetal anatomy scan with an OB/GYN.

Appointments are available on Tuesdays January through April.

Dates and times:

January 21 and 28
February 4 and 11
March 4, 18, and 25
April 1, 8, 15, 22, and 29

Appointments are available between 8:15 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Time of appointments available depends on date; contact HealthSciences@lakemichigancollege.edu for current availability.

Appointments are on a first come, first-served basis.

To request an appointment, email HealthSciences@lakemichigancollege.edu with your name, due date, and preferred appointment times or visit LMC’s Benton Harbor Campus at 2755 E. Napier Avenue in Benton Harbor, office C-103 in the main building.
