Bishop Kevin Rhoades has issued a message in regards to the work of Catholic Charities in support of refugees and immigrants.

Bishop Rhoades, of the Board of Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Fort Wayne-South Bend, stated that some news outlets are continuing to make claims that Catholic Charities participates in illegal immigration and human trafficking.

However, Rhoades says the opposite is true, as participation is actually taken in pathways for legal immigration and supporting survivors of human trafficking.

He says they serve the most vulnerable in alignment with the understanding that all are created in the image of God, but they do so while respecting the law.

Catholic Charities has taken part in the U.S. Refugee Admission Program since 1980, legally resettling refugees in the country. Rhoades says accurate information can be found on the Catholic Charities website.

Considering that the fake asylum claims used by these groups count as “legal immigration”, it’s obvious that His Holiness is lying and can pound sand. The game is over, Bishop. The credibility of the Catholic Charities has been shredded.

Go do your “good works” in their country not ours. Also, don’t expect us to pay for your feel good “charity”.
