St. Joseph County Police note changes in crime rates, trends

St. Joseph County Police report positive crime trends, noting declines in several crime rates from last year.
Battery, burglary, and auto theft incidents all decreased compared to the previous year.
The county had two homicides last year but recorded none in 2023.
