The City of St. Joseph and Berrien County officials are working on the details of a new Silver Beach parking plan.

The parking plan has been made a priority before the proposed changes to the concessions area.

WSJM reports that City Commissioners have tabled the concessions amendment in favor of exploring ways to alleviate the traffic congestion around the popular beach. Until the parking situation is addressed, commissioners are holding the proposal to add a patio, more seating, a food truck, and other amenities to the concessions area.
