In March, the Berrien County Veterans Services office plans to hold a ceremony to mark the 50th anniversary of the end of the Vietnam War.

Veterans Services will hold a pinning ceremony for the veterans who attend, and will offer guest speakers, a musical performance, and more at the event.

WSJM reports that will include students from nearby schools presenting Thank You and Welcome Home cards. Veterans Services Director Maureen Adams says the event will take place at the Vietnam Memorial on the St. Joseph Bluff at 10 A.M. on March 29.

Berrien County is home to more than 2000 Vietnam veterans. Registration for the event is encouraged, but not required.
