This month marks ten years of the Safe Haven Baby Boxes organization fighting to protect women and infants.

Over the last decade, Safe Haven Baby Boxes have been placed at 315 locations in the nation, offering parents in crisis a chance to safely and anonymously surrender an infant.

In total, the boxes have been used 55 times to surrender an infant, and thousands of parents have contacted the national hotline seeking advice on a safe surrender.

This year, plans to add boxes to new states are in the works, as only 18 states currently allow baby box locations. For more information on Safe Haven’s mission, you can visit their website.
