Indiana lawmakers move forward with bill capping ‘Healthy Indiana Plan’ enrollment

Indiana lawmakers are moving forward with a bill to cap enrollment in the state’s “Healthy Indiana Plan” at 500,000 people, citing unsustainable Medicaid growth.
Senate Bill 2, backed by Republicans, also maintains a 20-hour-per-week work requirement with exceptions for pregnant women and recent parolees. Critics argue the cap could leave vulnerable Hoosiers without care, particularly those in addiction recovery programs.
The bill passed out of committee along party lines and now heads to the full Senate for debate.

Maybe instead of calling it the “Healthy Indiana Plan” they could be honest and call it the “More Freebies for Weffies” plan.

This entitlement, like so many others, needs to end.
