Buying unclaimed mail is always a gamble, but one woman got lucky in a big way-though not with money. Instead, she helped reunite a cherished item with its rightful owner.
The package, which had been lost in transit, reached Elkhart on Wednesday and found its way to the person it was meant for.
Jodi Lytle told WSBT-TV that inside the package was a bracelet with a picture of a young boy.
The woman, who regularly buys unclaimed mail, immediately recognized it wasn’t just another lost item.
She was determined to return it to its owner and, after posting her discovery on social media, was able to do just that.
It turns out that the bracelt was a gift that was made for an area mom who had lost her son. It had gotten lost in the mail, but now has been given to the mother.
