South Bend man to be sentenced after Marketplace robbery

A South Bend man will be sentenced next month after robbing a man during a Facebook Marketplace deal.

31-year-old LaSean Green was charged with a Level 3 felony count of armed robbery after allegedly demanding money from and pistol-whipping a victim.

The victim was planning to purchase two phones from Green when they met at Cabin Coffee. Green has pleaded guilty to armed robbery and unlawful possession of a firearm by a serious violent felon.

His sentencing is scheduled for April 10.
