The Cleveland Township Fire Department informed residents that a tornado warning siren located at County Road 2 and County Road 5 was inoperable due to severe storm damage sustained on Sunday, March 30.

They say the outage may impact the ability of residents in the surrounding area to receive audible alerts in the event of a tornado warning.

The fire department is encouraging all residents to utilize multiple methods of receiving emergency alerts, including NOAA weather radio, mobile weather apps, and local news broadcasts.
