Town of Bourbon hit hard by Wednesday night’s severe weather

(Jon Zimney/95.3 MNC)

The town of Bourbon is among the hardest hit from storms that hit Michiana on Wednesday, April 2.

Winds gust and heavy rain caused damage to homes, other structures and trees. Because of the damage, Triton Schools has canceled classes for Thursday.

Wind gusts from the outbreak were so strong several semis were tipped over on U.S. 30 near Bourbon.

At least three big rigs blocked traffic the highway into late Wednesday night between Bourbon and Etna Green.

Earlier in the day at least five semis rolled over on I-65. That happened near the Lowell exit in Lake County.
