Four arrested following drug investigation

Four people were arrested after a drug investigation on Tuesday.

The arrests came after a search warrant at a residence on W. High St. Officers witnessed eight stops over a few hours and seized synthetic marijuana.

During the search, marijuana, meth, firearms, drug paraphernalia and synthetic marijuana was found.

Darrius Dillon, Anthony Givens, Selena Colon and Maria Willis were arrested and booked into the Elkhart County Jail, each on multiple charges. 

From the Elkhart Police Department:

-Darrius Dillon, 33 years old of Elkhart, was arrested and booked into the Elkhart County Jail on preliminary charges of Dealing in a Controlled Substance, a Level 2 Felony; Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Serious Violent Felon, a Level 4 Felony; Maintaining a Common Nuisance, a Level 6 Felony; Possession of Methamphetamine, a Level 6 Felony; Possession of Marijuana, a Class B Misdemeanor; and Possession of Paraphernalia, a Class C Misdemeanor. He was also arrested and booked into the Jail on outstanding and unrelated warrants. His bond was set at $150,000 in this case.

-Anthony Givens, 63 years old of Elkhart was arrested and booked on preliminary charges of Maintaining a Common Nuisance, a Level 6 Felony; Possession of Marijuana, a Class B Misdemeanor; and Possession of Paraphernalia, a Class C Misdemeanor. His bond was set at $3,000.

-Selena Colon, 26 years old of Elkhart, was arrested and booked into the Elkhart County Jail on preliminary charges of Possession of Methamphetamine, a Level 6 Felony; Visiting a Common Nuisance, a Class B Misdemeanor; and Possession of Paraphernalia, a Class C Misdemeanor. She was also arrested and booked into the Jail on an outstanding and unrelated warrant. Her bond was set at $3,000 in this case.

-Maria Willis, 50 years old of Elkhart, was arrested and booked into the Elkhart County Jail on preliminary charges of Possession of Marijuana, a Class B Misdemeanor and Visiting a Common Nuisance, a Class B Misdemeanor. Her bond was set at $1,500.

Good work by officers. Too bad prosecutors will drop 3/4 of the charges in plea bargains.
