A woman and child are dead in Huntingburg, Indiana, and police believe at least one of the deaths was caused by a dog attack.
The cause of the other death is still undetermined, said Dubois County Coroner Schuck.
Both were found in a pool of blood Monday when police were called about 3:30 p.m. to a house on North Geiger St., said the Huntingburg Police Dept. in a news release.
By the time police got there both the woman and child were unresponsive and both died, despite efforts to revive them.
“Our condolences are with the family and friends of this very tragic event,” said Chief of Police Brad Kramer.
The dogs that were in the house were taken away. Their fate is unclear at this point. Police said they have no reason to suspect foul play was involved.
No names have been released.
