Two regional colleges have agreed to simplify credit transfers for social work students.

Southwestern Michigan College and Western Michigan University have established a social work articulation agreement. WSJM reports that it aims to facilitate the transfer of credits for SMC social work students to a four-year university at WMU in Kalamazoo.

The formal agreement makes the process much easier to navigate for those students. The agreement also allows a fast track Master’s program in ten months, and is the latest in a long tradition of partnership between the two schools.

WMU has trained social workers since the 1940s and has more than 600 partnerships for placements in the field.

Just what we need, more social workers making excuses for people’s bad choices. What was supposed to be a profession that helped people has turned into a profession that harms the fabric of society.
