Southbound US-31 in Berrien County is about to undergo repairs that will last through the summer

MDOT says a 4-month begins Monday to repair 12 miles of pavement, concrete and asphalt. Northbound lane work was performed in 2023.

Drivers can expect closures from time to time at the three exits for US-12, Niles-Buchanan Road, and Walton Road when the concrete is in the curing process.

The work will shift to the southern area of the highway during the Berrien County Youth Fair this August to minimize traffic problems.
