Former Goshen mayor Allan Kauffman will serve probation after pleading guilty to six election fraud-related charges tied to a 2022 mailer.
Kauffman and four others were charged with filing a fraudulent report. School Board members Jose Elizalde, Mario Garber, and Roger Nafziger – previously took plea deals, reducing their charges to misdemeanors with suspended sentences and probation.
The Goshen News reports Andrea Johnson’s trial, set for May 12, may be delayed, with a hearing on a continuance set for April 30.
Kauffman resigned from the school board, last year, due to health issues.
