A Dowagiac man is headed to prison after failing to complete probations.

54-year-old Louis Gutierrez was sentenced last October to three years of probation for meth possession and larceny in a building from 2023 incidents.

However, his probation has now been revoked, and he has been sentenced to concurrent terms of 38 months to 20 years and 25 months to eight years in prison.

He was also sentenced on a probation violation from a 2022 conviction for failure to pay child support, according to Leader Publications.

They say he never made a child support payment during his probation and has a balance of more than $57,000 being owed.
