An Elementary school teacher in Elkhart has resigned after being placed on leave.

The Elkhart Community Schools placed a teacher on administrative leave over unspecified allegations that were brought to the attention of the principal at Eastwood Elementary School.

The teacher later resigned.

WSBT reports the principal says that in accordance with district policy and state law, the incident was reported to Child Protective Services and district administrators were informed.

An investigation is underway and no other details have been released.
