One person was killed and another injured in a crash in Berrien County. Benton Township Police were called on Wednesday, April 30, to Empire Avenue between Yore Avenue and Highpoint Drive.

Officers found a Toyota RAV4 and Ford F-150 with heavy damage. Investigators say the Toyota, driven by a 65-year-old from St. Joseph County, crossed the center line and hit the Ford head-on.

The Toyota driver died at the scene.

The 52-year-old Ford driver from Watervliet was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
