UPDATE: Pedestrian killed in Sunday morning crash in Cass County identified

A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle early Sunday morning in LaGrange Township, according to the Cass County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded to the 57000 block of Wilbur Hill Road around just after 4 a.m. on Sunday, May 11, where a northbound vehicle driven by a 60-year-old Dowagiac man hit a 30-year-old man n the roadway. The pedestrian, identified as Dalton Prentice, of Dowagiac, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation.

Assisting at the scene were the Dowagiac Police Department, SMCAS Ambulance, and Pokagon Township Fire Department.
