A suspect in a home invasion was located and arrested after a Cass County Sheriff’s K9 tracked him down.

Deputies were called around 9:45 p.m. on Saturday, May 10, to help Cassopolis Police with a reported home invasion in the Village of Cassopolis.

By the time deputies arrived, the suspect had already fled the scene. Police K-9 “Sitka” picked up the suspect’s trail behind the home.

The dog led deputies to a nearby location where the suspect was found trying to hide.

The suspect then surrendered and was taken into custody without further issues.
